Senior Manager, Pricing Analytics

Why this job’s a big deal:

As a Senior Manager you will set and optimize priceline's pricing strategy for the Hotel product, while leading and recruiting a Team of Senior Analysts within Strategic Pricing and Analytics.

In this role you will get to:

  • You will partner with other pricing team leaders, as well as those within our Technology, Product, Data Science, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Competitive Intelligence Teams

  • You will be responsible for optimizing prices of Express Deals and CUG/VIP Deals, and Retail, by developing innovative solutions and techniques to ensure Priceline’s pricing remains competitive, profitable and innovative

  • Design, implement A/B experiments and analyze results

  • Influence and challenge decisions made by the team through timely & insightful analysis and modeling

  • Identify appropriate reports to support decision making, recommend and build enhancements to our pricing reporting infrastructure

Who you are:

  • Proven ability to lead a team of Senior Analysts, including effective time management and work delegation skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills are required

  • Strong, hands-on SQL experience, preferably with Oracle/BQ, but other relational databases are OK

  • Experience building or enhancing reports using tableau and/or excel

  • Modeling techniques and methods

  • A ‘can-do’ demeanor and a passion for analytics/data

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Takes ownership for results, “owning” assignments and projects

  • The ideal candidate for this role has prior Pricing experience in an ecommerce or marketplace environment, strong analytical skills with an excellent track record of execution. Travel industry experience is a definite plus

  • Education: Bachelors’ Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics and at least 5 years of experience in analytics, consulting or technology

  • MBA / Master’s Degree and at least 3 years’ experience in analytics, consulting or technology

  • Experience in data science, market research, travel & e-commerce experience desired
