The incumbent’s success will depend on their ability to identify business opportunities, and to conduct analysis in order to define scope, vision and cost benefit analysis to solve varied business problems. This individual will collaborate with business units and engineering teams to understand and prioritize company needs and devise possible solutions based on business use cases. They should be able to recognize that streamlining and improving internal and external processes is key to the success of the organization.

In this role you will get to:

  • Create and present detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats

  • Carry out and lead ad-hoc analysis and present the results in a clear manner

  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

  • Improve systems by studying current practices; recommending/designing modifications

  • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures

  • Leverage reporting dashboards instrumental in the critical business decision making process

Who you are:

  • Detail-oriented professional who demonstrates a depth and breadth of business analysis process, techniques and methodologies

  • 5+ years previous experience supporting complex solutions in a Business Analyst role

  • Certificate of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) Asset

  • Demonstrate sound work ethic

  • Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse environment

  • Proactive, adaptable and resourceful with a pragmatic, solution focused approach to people issues

  • Able to work independently and on own initiative, making informed and sensible judgement as well as working as part of a wider team

  • Effective communicator of ideas and analysis results both verbally and in writing to a technical and non-technical audience

  • Must have experience with Jira and be able to write concise and effective user stories to support agile development

  • Excellent research and analytic skills

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Ability to multitask, focus and complete reports for extended periods of time

  • Demonstrates Decision Making/ Complex Problem Solving- proactively gather the right data from appropriate sources, probe/consider all the facts, consider other perspectives; conduct root cause analysis; refer to long term plans and goals; prioritize key factors; act decisively, promptly and confidently

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $75000-$90000 USD
