Accountant

This individual will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for Priceline's general ledger accounting to ensure accurate and timely preparation of journal entries; account reconciliations and assist in maintaining the Indian entity’s statutory ledger. The individual should possess enough skills and knowledge relating to Indian direct and indirect tax and related matters which ensures that they are ready to undertake complete onus of the compliance matters for the India entity.

In this role you will get to:

• Prepare monthly TDS (Withholding tax) and GST workings for review by the seniors as well the tax consultants.

• Prepare, reconcile and file quarterly TDS (Withholding tax) returns.

• Prepare, reconcile and maintain GST Input Credit Register for filing of monthly GST refunds as well as availing tax refunds from the authorities.

• Prepare journal entries for activities related to Priceline India (PTI) and Priceline US on an as need-basis.

• Assist in filing of yearly Income tax, Transfer Pricing as well GST (GSTR 9 and GSTR 9C) returns.

• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.

• Handle and maintain the organization’s tax database.

• Coordinate and follow up with the tax consultants on an as need-based basis to ensure timely compliances.

• Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.

• Provide support for the interim and year-end audits.

• Recommend improvements to the efficiency of the current processes and timeliness of the results.

Who you are:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant 

• 4+ years of experience preferably with a GL team of an US MNC.

• Excel proficiency required

• Having knowledge of Direct and Indirect Indian taxation laws

• Diligent

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment

• Preferably Experienced with Oracle, BlackLine, SAP 4/HANA, OneStream
