Senior UX Researcher
As a Senior UX Researcher on Priceline’s Product team, you will be an experienced UX research practitioner who is compassionate, curious, collaborative, flexible, and able to think strategically. You believe that the impact of research directly corresponds to the strength of one’s storytelling. We are a fast-paced and lean product team that believes in the power of elevating the voice of the customer to provide informed, tangible improvements to our website and app experiences.

In this role you will get to:

Be the expert on various Priceline customer segments: know how they use Priceline, what’s important to them when they travel, their difficulties, their workflows, etc.

Conduct all stages of UX research: identifying key research opportunities, designing research plans, fielding, analyzing, and reporting out insights – all while gathering stakeholder consensus and interest along the way.

Drive new product opportunities by uncovering and investigating unmet customer needs.

Distill research into practical insights and opportunities that create customer value & drive business objectives.

Lead recruitment activities for user research

Advocate for UX research’s integration into the product lifecycle through strong storytelling & relationship building,especially around stakeholder management & participation.

Provide thought leadership in planning and demonstrating research to inform initial product decisions long-term roadmaps.
Who you are:

3-5 years of UX research experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree
-
Strong UX research portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful research with significant business impact

Experience working with a variety of qualitative methodologies (e.g. group and 1:1 interview facilitation skills, ethnographic skills, JTBD, journey mapping, design heuristic evaluation)

Solid understanding of usage analyticsand A/B testing strategies, and ability to weave this data into your research analysis

Previous experience leading collaborative workshops

Self-starter, independent mentality – you’re not afraid to try new things and be creative in your approach to research

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Great interpersonal & communication skills; a true teammate

Comfort with remote research techniques and tools (e.g. Zoom, Miro, Figjam, UserTesting.com)

Master’s degree in one of these fields: Design, Psychology, Human-Centered Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or other related field highly preferred

Experience working in Travel industry or B2C e-commerce solutions

Experience analyzing data in Tableau dashboards and / or Google Analytics

Experience delivering insights to senior management and leadership

Proven history of living the values meaningful to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.
