As the Principal Analyst, Commercial Analytics at Priceline, you will be at the forefront of driving the analytical efforts that inform and drive strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining analytics methodologies, frameworks, and systems that enable the Commercial team to optimize performance and deliver exceptional results. This role requires a unique combination of technical proficiency, business acumen, and excellent communication skills.

In this role you will get to:

  • Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytics methodologies

  • Collaborate with data engineering for flawless data integration and infrastructure optimization

  • Help defines commercial analytics strategy and drive commercial team agenda

  • Define the future state of analytics, innovating with emerging technologies, methodologies and data models

  • Lead operational improvements, automating processes, and ensuring data quality and governance

  • Build and maintain data systems and dashboards for tracking business performance

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business improvement and develop solutions based on data-driven insights

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, optimally communicating complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of learning and development

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred

  • 9+ years of experience in an analytical role, ideally within the travel, hospitality, or e-commerce industries

  • Expertise in SQL, experience with other data analysis tools (Python, R, etc.) and cloud data platforms

  • Data engineering skills but passion for analytics, insights and driving business value

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data transformation

  • Proven track record of leveraging large data sets to drive significant business impact

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in an understandable way to all levels of the organization
