Development Manager, Car, Flight, and Insurance APIs

Priceline Partner Solutions (PPS) manages the products and services that power the distribution for Priceline’s travel supply to some of the most iconic brands in the world. PPS helps millions of travelers be there for the moments that matter, by enabling them to access our great rates and inventory for hotels, flights, rental cars and vacation packages through our affiliate partner websites, APIs, and call centers.

In this role you will get to:

• Support and collaborate with other technology leaders in Priceline, as well as other leaders within your immediate team, to continuously improve existing opportunities, responsibilities and new endeavors.

• Identify opportunities and drive improvement in our services & supporting applications, contribute to the ongoing and ever-changing development of our Partner Solutions technical playbook.

• Provide coaching and guidance to team members as assigned, as well as effectively manage team member performance.

• Lead multiple projects, including planning, prioritization, and task delegation.

• Enforce accountability for the quality of software that is created.

• Design, develop, and distribute APIs, along with the backing applications and services that serve hundreds of millions of searches a day.

• Orchestrate data across millions of hotel, rental cars, and airline partners, to get the best deals for our customers.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

• Display leadership through transformation, display management through positive influence.

• Technical knowledge of Golang, NodeJS, PHP, SQL, Cloud-Native Development, Kubernetes, and API Standards like REST, GRPC, and OpenAPI. 

• Strong background in business and statistical decision making.

• Conduct training and workshops, provide a management strategy including but not limited to development through agile, visuals & documentation, problem solving, KPI and metrics, capacity management, coaching and feedback, as well as individual development plans.

• Data driven mentality that translates into actionable conclusions & solutions to problems.

• Demonstrated history of living the values important to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.
