  Principal Software Engineer/Developer – Back End

• In this role you will get to:

• Spearhead mission critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business.

• Innovate within a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates and delivers on new product objectives.

• Lead the collaboration and drive team development efforts, recommend what the best solutions are and influence key business stakeholders on your findings.

• Showcase your fluency and development skills with Core Java or similar programming languages.

• Lead, mentor, and guide other developers in best practices.

• Architect, engineer, and drive the evolution of low latency and high throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automation testing.

• Lead the collaboration and drive team development efforts. Influence what the best solutions are and communicate your findings to key business stakeholders.

Who you are: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and development.

• Successfully has mentored, influenced and coached developers.

• Metalicious coding with Core Java or similar programming languages.

• Exceptional SQL compositions skills for composing queries and analysis.

• Confident with the utilization of Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs, an Influencer of the use of Git and Gitflow.

• Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes (GKE preferable).

• Experience with developing and deployment on Cloud, especially GCP/AWS.

• Proven Leadership in Design and Architecture of complex, highly scalable and performance driven applications.

• Exposure to Big Data solutions such as (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, ElasticSearch and Solr).
