The Packages Team at Priceline is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Business Analyst who enjoys working solving complex business challenges with data backed solutions.

At Priceline, we use data to drive decisions and understand the business. We look for people who love data; can apply analytical functions to identify underlying patterns and structures; can think strategically to draw out big picture conclusions, correlations, and recommendations; can model behavior; and can communicate all these results clearly and using a variety of methods. 

We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join the Packages team as a Business Analyst.

Priceline Packages help customers build incredible trips and save a tremendous amount of

money. To do that, we are constantly launching new features and exciting ways to build trips

and we need someone to help make sense of it all. This business analyst role will report to

directly to the business lead and will work on highly visible and highly impactful strategic

projects.

The business analyst will help analyze performance, identify opportunities, develop

business cases, and ensure flawless execution of ideas. And because Packages interacts with

all lines of business, you will get great exposure to all of our travel products and different

functional departments and you will develop deep industry expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business performance, track trends and identify opportunities for growth
  • Immerse self into Priceline’s data environment and have mastery of the moving parts of the business
  • Conduct analysis for and lead workstreams on strategic projects
  • Contribute to development of overarching business unit growth strategy and annual planning
  • Interface with product and tech teams to make case for new features or improvements backed by sound analysis and valuation
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units, marketing, finance, customer service and technology to deliver insights and work planning
  • Conduct competitive market research, benchmarking, and gap analysis
  • Answer tough questions with data

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; extremely proficient in presentation writing tools (e.g., Power Point, Slides)
  • Expertise in Excel; experience with SQL and analytic tools such as Tableau
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced/rapidly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Intellectual curiosity with demonstrated ability to learn and master new subject areas quickly
  • Project management and work structure skills – excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and prioritize own work
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, owner mindset, takes initiative
  • Comfortability with ambiguity
  • Passion for travel and business results
  • 2+ years in strategic business role or strategy / management consulting
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Demonstrated history of living the values important to priceline:  Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust. Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
