The Senior Systems Engineer will ensure best in class performance & availability for business capabilities and growth through IT Service Management. The scope will include solving operational issues for all Windows Server and Citrix related services, to all clients and service levels while following all ITSM best practices. This requires excellent communication skills to work across teams to solve daily operational incidents and to coordinate Server management activities. The successful candidate will manage conflicts and escalation to achieve results, while maintaining excellent working relationships across the teams. The successful candidate will also possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Provides planning, coordination, and implementation for server and related application installations, upgrades, and maintenance
Implementation, administration, and configuration of Citrix environment
Windows Server operating systems deployment automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting
Engaging Managed Service organizations to address quality Windows policies and configuration and process concern
Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise technologies
Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives
Provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to other IT groups
Support Active Directory and Group Policies
Investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to reoccurrences
Engage and ensure any security changes or initiatives that might have Windows related impacts are evaluated and reviewed with the IT operations and support organization
Automation experience (i.e. Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Ability to consult and present with all levels of management.
Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels; provide performance statistics and reports
Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call service and emergency onsite support if necessary
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
Fast turnaround of customer requests
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Improve usage and increase the productivity of IT support resources
Escalate service requests that cannot be scheduled within agreed service levels
Document work for reference and training for using Confluence
Manage all service requests and projects via Jira Ticketing System
Bachelor's degree or equivalent or five years related experience.
Industry technical certifications are desirable but not required.
(Ex: CCT, CCE, ACMT, ACSA)

Experience should include designing, implementing and supporting some of the following technologies:
Citrix Xendesktop administration experience
Experience with Netscaler
Configure Okta to support MFA, enterprise SSO, provisioning/deprovisioning
Support policy definition for technical authentication policies to be configured in Okta
Technology Experience pluses:
Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc..)
Network Access Control
Experience with VMWare
VPN, DNS, and DHCP
Windows Server 2008 – 2019
Okta Identity Management
Enterprise Application Access
