Director Product Management, Flights Supply Platform
Our Product Design and Management teams work tirelessly to understand what our customers need and make it a reality. They’re the ones who make our deals come to life and our user experience simple and intuitive.
Why this job’s a big deal?
The Supply Platform PM is responsible for the strategy and implementation around connecting to various sources of airline inventory (GDSs, aggregators, consolidators, airline direct connects), and oversees the end to end platform (search, price, book, seats, bags, all post booking events, etc.)
This role is equal parts new product development and existing platform maintenance (interfacing with internal stakeholders in Finance, Supply Business, Customer Service, etc.).
In this role you will get to:
Work with internal and external stakeholders (internal such as supply, finance, marketing; external such as content providers like the GDS and Airlines) to plan for and onboard new inventory partners each quarter.
Partner with customers of the supply platform to understand their needs and account for those needs as you build out supply solutions with the team.
Serve as the product owner for multiple scrum teams. Define higher level objectives and key results and translate those into requirements, stories, establish milestones, and manage the execution of projects across multiple teams
Experience with Agile project management techniques including Scrum and Kanban as well as Agile tools like Jira and Confluence or equivalent toolsets
Spend time in quantitative data monitoring supply platform KPIs around platform health and content quality, and understand the relationship between those platform metrics and key business results.
Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems.
Be the glue! The product manager holds an organization together – it is part of your job to communicate often with all team members.
Get your hands dirty. We are a lean team and there is no job too big or too small. Some days you will be planning the strategy for the next quarter, and other days you will be diving into database records to troubleshoot an issue.
Who you are:
4+ years experience as a product manager with at least 2 working with a backend engineering team, ideally in airline/GDS/travel technology
Experience balancing and prioritizing the needs of internal and external stakeholders along with multiple customer sets
Demonstrated experience setting strategic objectives on a quarterly and yearly cadence using an outcome based objective format such as OKRs
Strong analytical skills including proficiency with multiple analytics tool sets including Splunk, Tableau, Google Analytics, SQL, BigQuery, and/or Tealium
A high-EQ people-leader who builds and maintains strong team culture and stakeholder relationships.
A self-starter who is very organized, confident and able to move projects forward with little direction, while communicating regularly to impacted parties, and remaining in alignment with team best practices.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills – from product specifications, to JIRA tickets, to stakeholder presentations
A desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment with multiple responsibilities.
