Senior Security Engineer

In this role you will get to:
Contribute to all aspects of our security program, including setting policy, monitoring and alerting, and participating in adversarial testing against Priceline environments
Lead technology and system assessments, provide technical consultation and ensure system security functionality
Educate and influence developers and engineers to improve Priceline's security posture
Design and implement security architecture, develop creative improvements to security system capabilities, and support compliance and audit activities
Mentor and coach junior security engineers in the use of the latest security tools such as Splunk, Nessus, Burp Suite, and Metasploit
Respond and resolve system security concerns with urgency along with a variety of teams and third-party vendors
Provide advanced application level support for the resolution of security system alerts
Who you are:
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience with IT
5+ years of expertise in identifying and resolving enterprise security issues
Curiosity and creativity in breaking and defending modern web applications along with a passion for challenging issues and taking ownership for resolving them
Comfort with network, server, and application log analysis and correlation
Ability to confidently and simply explain technical security issues without hype or buzzwords to technical and non-technical business owners
