Accountant (General): Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns. May also assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. May generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use and interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders and may be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.

This individual will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for Priceline's general ledger accounting to ensure accurate and timely preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, and to safeguard the integrity of Priceline’s reporting.
In this role you will get to:
Record daily and monthly journal entries, as determined by assigned accounts Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly; resolve any reconciling items on a timely basis Interact with various internal teams to obtain information for monthly close Ensure internal controls are effectively maintained for assigned tasks Recommend improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of deliverables Perform data analysis independently and provide meaningful insights. Contribute to special projects (e.g. automation, ERP implementation, etc.)
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance 1-3 years of related professional experience CA or CA eligible Experience with Oracle, BlackLine, SAP 4/HANA Thrive in an entrepreneurial setting and take ownership of their work Possess communication skills and business acumen necessary to interact with multiple teams within Priceline (examples include the product teams – hotels, flights, cars, and packages – as well as marketing, customer care, technology, and others) and third-party partners.· Strong analytical skills Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment Demonstrated history of living the values important to priceline.com: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.
