Why this job’s a big deal:
The Director of Hotel Commercial Strategy is responsible for the definition of Priceline’s hotel supply strategy, and will work in close partnership with internal teams and our sister companies (Booking.com and Agoda) to execute on that strategy. Utilizing your expert understanding of the lodging industry, you will partner with stakeholders to develop our approach to deal acquisition, measure our business performance, and work in close collaboration with our product & engineering teams to develop new products that align with our supply strategy. You will be the primary commercial liaison between Priceline and our sister companies, and will partner with our sister companies to ensure that our goals within North America are aligned.
Location is currently remote and then a hybrid model 2 or 3 days a week in our NYC or Norwalk, CT Headquarters once we return to the offices in September 2021.
In this role you will get to:
Develop Priceline’s hotel commercial strategy
Partner with Booking.com and Agoda on strategy and goal setting
Provide steering on relevant hotel supply priorities, and work in close collaboration with various stakeholders for successful delivery and execution
Stay on top of market and competitor trends and developments in order to ensure that our hotel supply matches the needs of our customers and partners
Refine and execute the North America hotel supply operating model within Booking Holdings
Be involved in key partner negotiations, providing commercial, product and legal/contract input and guidance to the hotel supply teams
Drive performance through defining and monitoring key supply performance metrics
Influence internal and external stakeholders from a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership within Priceline and other Booking Holdings brands
Who you are:
Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related area, MBA a plus
5+ years of established leadership experience in the lodging industry
Ability to envision, articulate, and execute a compelling strategy for the business
Data driven, with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights
Expert negotiator, developing creative solutions to problems or barriers
Savvy and clear communicator, with the ability to influence across departments to deliver on goals
Well-honed presentation skills
Ability to effectively partner to engage internal product and technology teams
High emotional intelligence, allowing you to adapt your style to suit the situation and audience
Confidence in challenging the ‘norm’ as well as other senior stakeholders
