Why this job’s a big deal:
The Flight Product Team at Priceline is seeking a Mid-Level Technical Product Manager with a strong background in complex software systems, an empathic understanding of customer pain points, and strong stakeholder management skills. Background in the travel industry, especially in the flight space is a strong plus. This position is based in our New York City or Norwalk, CT office with some travel required to the sister office as necessary.
The Flight Platform Technical Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, feature implementation and growth of our international flight business. You’ll work with internal & external stakeholders and platform customers to determine the most relevant, dial-moving features. You’ll then partner with the technology team to deliver innovative scalable solutions on time and on target.
In this role you will get to:
Partner with customers of the Flight Platform to understand their needs and account for those needs as you build out solutions with your team.
Serve as the product owner for one or more scrum teams. Define higher level objectives and key results and translate those into requirements, stories, establish milestones, and manage the execution of projects across multiple teams.
Spend time in quantitative data monitoring of the flight platform KPIs around platform health and feature quality, and understand the relationship between those platform metrics, key business results, and customer satisfaction.
Be the glue! The product manager holds an organization together – it is part of your job to communicate often with all team members.
Get your hands dirty. We are a lean team and there is no job too big or too small. Some days you will be planning the strategy for the next quarter, and other days you will be diving into database records to troubleshoot an issue.
Who you are:
5+ years experience as a product manager, ideally in airline/GDS/travel technology
Experience balancing and prioritizing the needs of internal and external stakeholders along with multiple customer sets
Experience with Agile project management techniques including Scrum and Kanban as well as Agile tools like Jira and Confluence or equivalent toolsets
Strong analytical skills including proficiency with multiple analytics tool sets including Splunk, Tableau, SQL, and/or BigQuery
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills – from product specifications, to JIRA tickets, to stakeholder communications
Experience building execute communications, decks, and other deliverables
A desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment with multiple responsibilities.
