Job Description: Organizes, installs and supports the organization’s computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets and other data communication systems.
Responsibilities Determines the organization’s needs in a network and computer system prior to set-up. Installs network hardware and software and makes needed upgrades and repairs. Maintains network and computer system security and ensures effective and efficient system operation. Collects data, evaluates the network and/or system performance and resolves performance deficiencies. Grants users access, assigns/updates security permissions on the network and trains users on the proper use of hardware and software. Monitors and troubleshoots systems for errors. Manages servers, desktops, mobile equipment and ensures email and data storage networks perform properly. Ensures the efficiency and performance of workstations and their connection to the central computer network.
Skills: Strong analytical and computer skills. Excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in supporting a medium to a large-scale global organization.
Education: Bachelors’ Degree of Science in Computer and Information Science.
