Priceline.com is seeking a Pricing Analyst for our Airline Ticketing business unit. This role will be responsible to execute and improve upon Priceline.com's strategy for Ticketing pricing & competitive intelligence. This role will influence and challenge Pricing decisions made within the Strategic Pricing and Analytics Team by delivering insightful analysis, predictive models and innovative strategies. Our mission is to deliver the best travel deals available to our customers. This role is critical for us to fulfill this mission.
In this role you will get to:
The ideal candidate for this role has prior Pricing experience in the Travel industry, preferably with flights, and strong analytical skills with an excellent track record of execution.
Execute and improve upon Priceline.com's strategy for Flight pricing & competitive intelligence.
Learn, upgrade and automate various pricing initiatives within Priceline.
Partner with the Product and Technology Teams to migrate our Flight Pricing Platform to our Deal Engine.
Develop innovative solutions and techniques to ensure Priceline.com's pricing remains competitive, profitable and innovative.
Influence and challenge decisions made by the team through timely & insightful analysis and modeling.
Identify appropriate reports to support decision making, recommend and build enhancements to our Pricing reporting infrastructure.
Who you are:
Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills are required.
Bachelors Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics and at least 2 years of experience in Pricing/Analytics.
MBA / Master’s Degree and at least one year experience in Pricing/Analytics.
Travel industry experience desired.
Strong, hands on SQL experience, preferably with Oracle and BigQuery, but other relational databases are OK.
Experience building or enhancing reports using Tableau and/or Excel.
Experience working with R/Python strongly preferred.
Modeling techniques and methods.
A ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for analytics/data.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Takes responsibility for results, “owning” assignments and projects.
