Privacy Program Manager

Why this job’s a big deal:
As the Privacy Program Manager, you will work on and assist in the development and implementation of operational privacy processes across all business operations.
This role will have a high level of exposure across the various lines of business. You will work directly with the Privacy Officer and other key stakeholders to ensure that objectives are met.
In this role you will get to:
Collaborate with Legal, Technology, Product, Marketing, InfoSec, People & Culture and other affected departments to continuously improve upon a comprehensive privacy program consistent with relevant laws and regulations.
Serve as end-to-end programmatic lead in managing OneTrust, Priceline’s main privacy compliance platform and tooling.
Serve as Privacy team lead in advancing Priceline’s data mapping and catalog, including documenting business purpose and categorization of customer data.
Ensure that new privacy requirements are considered during the design phase of new technology, product, and marketing initiatives.
Ensure established Privacy and Cookies Policy and process controls are well understood and followed by the enterprise.
Ensure timely communication of the company’s policies and procedures to employees and business partners through training and awareness activities.
Support enterprise efforts to improve Data Privacy governance and Data Retention governance.
Plan, design, manage and execute targeted privacy compliance project plans as required by business need/experience.
Perform general and/or targeted assessments and develop remediation plans in response.
Ensure operational units maintain processes critical for GDPR and CCPA compliance (e.g., data subject requests, opt-out requests, and other required processes) and incorporate additional operational requirements as new laws require, e.g. CPRA and VCDPA.
Create and manage Privacy Liaisons, peer resources who received enhanced privacy training and are embedded within operational teams.
Maintain a “central source of truth”: a digital repository in which current governance (e.g. policies & procedures, annual privacy plans, and forms), operational process descriptions, templates and privacy contacts, across departments, are maintained in an up-to-date, readily accessible format.
Assume responsibility for complex projects, developing processes, automation, managing project definitions, achievements, milestones, schedules and project status for new and ongoing improvements to privacy operations. The Privacy Program Manager will plan requirements and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders which will include predominantly privacy as well as commercial and compliance stakeholders within the Company.
Who you are:
5-7 years privacy program management, with responsibility for program documentation and reporting
CIPM certification or equivalent training
You have a proven track record in project management and experience in privacy related matters.
You are exceptionally detail-oriented.
You are knowledgeable and have experience in applying risk-based decision making.
You can engage successfully with all levels of the business organization.
You are agile: you are open to new ideas, a “quick-read” for changing situations and you can balance long-term and short-term perspectives.
You are able to “think big” and simultaneously understand and appreciate the details necessary to operationalize the privacy strategy and goals; you have the ability to make sense of complex issues and ambiguous situations.
You are a self-starter with high energy and drive; fast paced and results driven; forward thinking.
You have exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, presentations and listening.
You demonstrate partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes; you know that you need your colleagues, and they need you.
