Director, Brand Marketing

At Priceline, we pride ourselves on being the best travel deal makers in the world, all in support of our purpose to help people experience the moments that matter most to them. Our marketing team is expert at capturing the hearts, minds and imaginations of consumers to get them to try our services and keep them coming back for more.

As the world reopens and consumers once again begin to travel, we have an opportunity to reclaim our brand superiority and reintroduce consumers to Priceline. This role is essential in persuading consumers to reconsider the Priceline they think they know, whether they have used Priceline before or are new to the brand.

Reporting to the SVP of Strategy & Brand Marketing, you will be responsible for creating culturally-resonant, breakthrough brand campaigns that drive long-term brand equity and ROI. This includes developing the go-to-market strategy and executing brand campaigns – working closely with insights, comms, media and product partners – to bring our brand to life in the right channels with compelling creative assets.

We are looking for a team member who is a strong communicator, leader and strategic thinker. This person must be motivated, creative, and outgoing, with a deep passion for travel and culture as well as the pragmatic details that drive measurable success. This person should possess an intellectual curiosity to learn, the courage to pursue and test new ideas, and the executional skills to deliver campaigns across the marketing funnel.

Why this job’s a big deal:

We are seeking a motivated brand marketer to lead one of the most iconic brands in travel. You will have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to instigate reappraisal and drive meaningful long-term brand equity and growth for one of the most iconic brands in advertising history.

In this role you will get to:

  • Architect Priceline’s creative platform and campaign strategy

  • Execute large-scale omnichannel brand-building campaigns with both seasonal and always-on campaign messaging

  • Lead creative agency in development of campaign idea and creative assets, from initial briefing through execution and optimization

  • Partner with Brand Strategy lead in directing research partners to measure brand health, define target audiences and measure impact of advertising efforts

  • Champion cross-functional expression of campaign idea across internal and external touchpoints, including:

    • Partner with Sr. Brand Media Manager in bringing breakthrough creativity to media solutions

    • Work with performance channel leads to identify (where appropriate) opportunities to integrate campaign messaging in assets built-for-platform (search, affiliate, social)

    • Collaborate with PR lead to generate buzz-building ideas in support of the campaign idea, along with influencer extensions

    • Help inform O&O marketing tactics (email, site, app, etc.) as the end-to-end consumer-facing expression of the brand campaign

    • Work with Product teams to identify, and potentially influence, product features that can serve as response-driving marketing messages

  • Operate with an ROI-driven approach to build business case for testing into new channels, using data to inform campaign strategy and decision making

  • Build internal marketing capabilities in “new” channels for the brand, via test-and-learn, data-driven experimentation and breakthrough creative ideas that drive consideration and brand demand

  • Work with Brand Analyst to develop and maintain regular reporting – painting a clear picture of brand performance and its impact on the business – and communicate success metrics on a regular basis to senior leaders

  • Manage budget for brand and awareness efforts, including production budgets, agency retainers and other support partners

  • Keep ongoing pulse on cultural trends, consumer behavior, the travel industry, key competitors and emergent brands – understanding their go-to-market strategies and identifying opportunities to deposition competition, capture brand consideration and grow preference for Priceline

  • Manage legal and compliance review process for brand campaign assets

Who you are:

  • Have 8 years of experience in brand marketing and advertising
