Why this job’s a big deal:
Will collaborate with business units, engineering teams and external system providers to understand and prioritize company needs and devise possible solutions based on business use cases. Will oversee the delivery of a best in class quality assurance end-to-end program.
In this role you will get to:
Provide general project oversight and systems expertise for all air and/or vacation package projects
Identify and propose solutions for process and format deficiencies that may cause website failures or a poor customer experience
Improve commercial effectiveness and efficiencies through proper database maintenance and updates
Measure system performance to ensure that the system is working: book-ability, fare accuracy, success rate and bug reports
Identify improvements to booking process that minimize sell failures and improve customer service
Manage known issues to ensure a timely resolution
Develop solutions for system improvements post issue investigation
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 4 years of airline or travel agency experience with a demonstrated focus on airline distribution and ticketing
Strong knowledge of one or more GDS (Global Distribution Service) – Sabre, Farelogix, Galileo or Amadeus
Knowledge of Airline commission contracts a plus
Knowledge of Airline pricing – published and negotiated rates
Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
SQL knowledge is highly desirable
Forward-thinking in identifying solutions to improve existing Priceline.com processes that align with the strategic vision of flights and vacation packages
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High level of independence, energy, and motivation
