In this role you will get to:

  • Lead and be responsible for a software development team that owns the services that power Priceline’s Flight Platform

  • Actively participate on a leadership team that includes other development managers, product managers, and a technical program manager, and work closely with both technology and business stakeholders.

  • Manage and coach talented engineers of all levels of experience.

  • Have influence on what we build, how we build, and how we work.

  • Be involved in many projects, initiatives, and discussions.

  • Collaborate with other leaders across the organization in the execution of large initiatives and in developing long-term technology road maps.

  • Participate in various formal and/or grass-roots technical and non-technical communities at Priceline.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and development.

  • 5+ years experience in leading software development teams.

  • Experience and skill in hiring, coaching, and developing engineering talent, including performance management.

  • Have managed a combination of people leaders and high level individual contributors

  • Overseen an organization of 20+ members

  • Worked in a global teams setup collaborating with cross functional teams globally

  • Managed multiple priorities and able to manage change effectively

  • Proven collaboration skills with both technical and less-technical colleagues.

  • Significant coding experience with Java or similar programming languages.

  • Good knowledge and experience working on SQL and NoSQL technologies.

  • Experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.

  • Experience in microservices, Kubernetes, Docker.

  • Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.

  • Have worked with or developed a internal support model for service management
