Senior Manager, Software Development (Java)

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: 2 days in-office.

In this role you will get to:

• Manage a team(s) of high caliber software engineers.

• Support and collaborate with other technology leaders in Priceline, as well as other leaders within your immediate team, to continuously improve existing opportunities, responsibilities and new endeavors.

• Identify opportunities and drive improvement in our services & contribute to the ongoing and ever-changing development of global flights platform

• Provide coaching and guidance to team members as assigned, as well as effectively manage team member performance.

• Lead multiple projects, including planning, prioritization, and task delegation.

• Enforce accountability for the quality of software that is created.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

• 4+ years of engineering management experience along with a track record of hiring and retaining strong engineering talent.

• Experience with Java, Spring, Mysql, Cloud, Kubenetes, Containers, kafka and distributed systems design.

• Display leadership through transformation, display management through positive influence.

• Conduct training and workshops, provide a management strategy including but not limited to development through agile, visuals & documentation, problem solving, KPI and metrics, capacity management, coaching and feedback, as well as individual development plans.

• Data driven mentality that translates into actionable conclusions & solutions to problems.
