Development Manager (Full-Stack) – Performance Marketing Platform

Why this job’s a big deal:

As a leader within our 80-person Customer Growth organization, you will oversee a full-stack engineering team (backend, frontend, and data) dedicated to building our Performance Marketing Platform. You will drive the creation of a unified partner integration system, directly impacting our ability to acquire customers through partners like Google, Meta, and TikTok. This role offers a unique 40/20/20 blend of backend, frontend, and data ownership with a heavy focus on AI-driven customer acquisition.

In this role you will get to:

  • Lead & Mentor: Manage a high-performing team of 7 FTE Engineers, providing coaching, performance management, and career development. 

  • Technical Execution: Maintain 20-30% hands-on involvement through code reviews, governance, and technical direction.

  • Platform Innovation: Drive the strategy and execution for a standardized platform that accelerates the onboarding of new marketing partners.

  • Operational Excellence: Enforce SDLC discipline, including 2-week sprints, grooming, retrospectives, and demos.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate marketing metrics and business strategies into technical roadmaps.

Who you are:

  • Experienced Leader: Proven track record in engineering management, specifically leading Agile teams and hiring/developing talent.

  • Full-Stack Expert: Strong backend expertise in Java (8/11) and Spring Boot, complemented by experience in Node.js and ReactJS.

  • Data Savvy: Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, ETL jobs, and data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery).

  • Systems Thinker: Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud infrastructure.

  • Problem Solver: A "crafty" solver who knocks down barriers and builds trust within a fast-paced environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $155,000.
