Senior Product Manager, Flights
Senior Product Manager – Flights
Our Product Design and Management teams work tirelessly to understand what our customers need and make it a reality. They’re the ones who make our deals come to life and our user experience simple and intuitive.
Why this job’s a big deal:
Priceline is seeking a highly technical, analytically-driven Senior Product Manager to join our Flights team in Berlin. This is not a "traditional" product role; it is a blend of product leadership, business strategy, and systems thinking. You will be responsible for the technical infrastructure and core business logic that power our global flight supply, as well as the platforms that support our customers through complex travel disruptions.
You will lead a team of Elixir engineers focused on three critical domains: high-scale supplier connectivity (NDC/GDS), the end-to-end optimization of the shopping and booking workflow, and our internal Agent Servicing Platform.
We are looking for a Technical Product Strategist—someone who can navigate the ambiguity of large-scale platforms, build rigorous business cases for technical investments, and translate complex data into clear, actionable roadmaps.
In this role you will get to:
1. Global Supply & API Connectivity
-
Drive Integration Strategy: Lead the roadmap for connecting to airline and supplier partners via NDC, GDS, and Aggregators.
-
Servicing APIs: Manage the complex API connectivity required for automated servicing solutions (refunds, exchanges, and ancillaries).
-
AI-Enhanced Monitoring: Leverage AI-driven anomaly detection to monitor connectivity health and supplier performance in real-time.
2. Shopping Path Optimization & Intelligence
-
Performance & Cache: Optimize the "search-to-ticket" workflow, utilizing advanced cache strategies and predictive logic to improve speed and bookability.
-
Error Mitigation: Build robust, self-healing systems for error detection across the workflow to ensure a seamless customer experience.
-
Data-Driven Insights: Use AI-augmented analysis tools to parse massive datasets, identifying hidden patterns in error rates or conversion drops to inform your roadmap.
3. Agent Servicing Platform & Automation
-
Tool Evolution: Own the product vision for our Agent Servicing Platform, the central hub used by our global teams to manage complex customer journeys.
-
Intelligent Robotics: Leverage core platform robotics and AI-driven automation to mitigate manual agent processes and resolve complex bookings efficiently.
-
Operational Efficiency: Partner with stakeholders to identify high-friction manual tasks and transform them into automated system requirements.
Strategic Rigor & Business Outcomes
-
Business Case Creation: You don't just build features; you build arguments for why we build them. You will be expected to create high-integrity business cases that justify technical investments through projected ROI and operational savings.
-
Problem Translation: You excel at taking vague or "messy" problem statements and distilling them into actionable insights, clear requirements, and high-impact roadmaps.
-
Navigating Large-Scale Platforms: You understand the complexity of high-throughput, distributed systems. You can navigate the dependencies of a global platform and understand how local changes impact the broader ecosystem.
-
Outcome-Driven Metrics: You will define success using a sophisticated framework of Leading and Lagging indicators (e.g., Bookability rates, API latency, Agent handle time). You must be able to translate these technical metrics into business outcomes for executive leadership.
Who you are:
-
Analytical Background: 5+ years in Product Management, Management Consulting, or a high-growth Strategy & Ops role. We value candidates who can apply consulting-level rigor to product problems.
-
Large-Scale Systems Expertise: Proven experience working on high-concurrency, large-scale platforms. You understand how to scale technical products without sacrificing reliability.
-
Strategic Agility & Context Switching: You can shift focus between deeply technical API work and high-level business strategy, maintaining a long-term vision for all three pillars.
-
Technical & AI Fluency: You speak the language of engineers and are comfortable with API design and system architecture. You leverage modern AI tools to accelerate your research and analysis.
-
Culture & Presence: You are a "culture carrier." While Priceline has a global hybrid policy of 2 days in the office, we are ideally looking for a leader who is excited to be in the Berlin office more frequently to anchor our local culture and drive collaboration.
Team & Support
You will be supported by a Group PM providing strategic mentorship and a Product Analyst dedicated to day-to-day operations and supply data analysis. Together with your team of Elixir engineers, you will build the most resilient and intelligent flight platform in the industry.
