As an Associate Software Engineer in the Product Operating Model (POM), your focus is on building high-quality, reliable, and scalable software that delivers business value. You are accountable for owning development, optimization, and automation activities; writing clean and maintainable code; practicing test-driven development; and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and fellow Developers. You contribute to solution design, ensure adherence to engineering best practices, and take ownership of features from development through testing and delivery.

• Showcase your development skills in Core Java or similar programming languages.

• Implement SQL composition skills that collect and query data for investigation and analysis in real time from our applications.

• Utilize your knowledge to understand our codebase, systems, and business requirements to effectively make changes to our applications.

• Effectively collaborate and engage in team efforts, speak up for what you think are the best solutions, and be able to converse respectfully and compromise when necessary.

Who are you—

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

• 2 years of experience in software engineering and development.

• Strong coding experience with Core Java

• Thorough SQL composition skills for composing queries and analysis.

• Comfort and experience with Spring boot and REST APIs. 

• Experience in Microservices is a MUST

• Experience with developing Cloud, especially GCP OR AWS/ Azure.

• Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability, and Trust.
